Woodlawn Restorative Justice Hub is a nonprofit organization located on Chicago's South Side, dedicated to engaging youth most impacted by violence through restorative justice practices, economic empowerment, and civic engagement.
As a start up organization, I worked with their team of founders to create a cohesive brand package, including logos, color palettes and fonts. I was also tasked with designing a modern, easy-to-use website that could serve as a jumping-off point for their organization as it began the process of raising awareness and fundraising through grants and donations.
Project: Branding + website design
Role: Art Director + Graphic Designer
I combined a W and H, along with the symbolism of a house to create the WRJH logo. I wanted it to evoke a feeling of community and safety, which speaks directly to the values of the organization. Gold and purple are the colors of royalty, which represent the potential of every youth who participates in the restorative justice program.
